Delivery Service Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions shall be applicable to all transactions for where a customer requests for delivery:



  • Where a fee is applicable, it is charged exclusively for the delivery of the goods from a Vinod Patel store to customer residence or job site. Whilst our delivery team will assist in placing the goods in a safe location, the chosen site for goods placement has to be on the ground floor.



  • In any case, whereby the location poses any hazardous risks including a flight of stairs (either up or down) our delivery team will refuse to offload the goods and the customer will be notified.



  • For heavier goods including but not limited to cement and tiles over 10 bags and/or cartons, the customer must arrange additional help to offload the items. Our team will ensure to contact the customer prior to delivery.



  • Upon receipt of the goods, the customer shall examine them for defects without undue delay.



  • Written notification of any obvious defects shall be given at the time of delivery. Notification of hidden defects shall be given within 7 days of delivery. Such notification of defects must be in writing and shall precisely specify the type and extent of the defect.



  • Delivery shall be made to the address specified by the customer. If the customer provides incorrect, incomplete or inexact delivery address details, then customer shall be responsible for any costs arising as a result and shall bear the risk of any delay in delivery resulting.



  • During adverse weather conditions, VPCL will hold onto customer delivery and notify the customer. Once weather conditions and roads are accessible by VPCL vehicles, delivery to customer site will be made.



  • At any point of time whereby delivery address is deemed unsafe for delivery or offloading of goods, the customer will be notified and alternative arrangements will be made.



  • For products which require careful storage such as boards, tile glue and cement, customer must ensure that all reasonable arrangement are made prior to delivery.
